My name is Greg Shives and I am the project manager for the Gear Learning team. I have spent the last 10 years making awesome games at many different levels of the industy. My early career was as a satellite engineer in the defense industry, but at the age of 30, I completed a degree in Computer Animation at Ringling School of Art. Upon graduation, I entered the AAA games space serving as a senior technical animator and later animation director with Activision. After five years and five titles, I left AAA to found my own independent game studio. There I would spend another five years honing my game dev skills at all levels of production. I am a jack of all trades, master of some and best described as a 3D technical generalist. Be it building pipelines, writing shaders, scripting gameplay, concepting levels, or fleshing out designs I love doing it all.
